Going Live at RAF Brize Norton with BBC South Today

Camera Operator Oxford

Yesterday I worked on a live special outside broadcast from RAF Brize Norton for BBC South Today. The 30 minute special was produced to celebrate 100 years of the RAF.

I worked alongside the main staff Camera Op and their VSat truck and between us we set up the three camera shoot with lighting, sound and a comfort monitor.

I took my camera jib and provided wide shots and moving cutaways. You can see the best of these below.

Also included in the show was a package I had shot a few weeks ago at Enstone Flying Club.

This was about a range of new Spitfires that are being built. On this job I used my two GoPro cameras, my Osmo+ and my main PMW500.

You can see that VT below.

It was a great day and I was very pleased to be part of the fantastic team at BBC South Today (Oxford Office).
